WP EXTRA L Graupner 6247 The EXTRA 300 L can justifiably be ranked as one of the worldŽs best aerobatic aircraft. As prototype for our model we selected the famous version belonging to Klaus Lenhart. Klaus Lenhart and his company are based close by at Kirchheim/Teck, and that is the reason for the LEKI placard: Lenhart/Kirchheim. At the design stage of this model we laid particular emphasis on good aerobatic characteristics, but despite this the model can still be flown relatively slowly on the landing approach. The model is of conventional built-up construction, i.e. balsa and plywood. The all-wood
fuselage is reinforced at all highly stressed points. The built-up wing panels feature orthodox ribs and spars, whereas the tailplane and fin are of flat
built-up construction. The fuselage, wing panels and tail panels are supplied ready built and film-covered, with decals applied. To complete the model little work is required: joining the wing panels, gluing the tail panels to the fuselage, installing the motor and RC system. The rudder and elevator are actuated using the Direct Steel System (DSS), ensuring minimum slop linkages to the two control surfaces.
